K's Practice Meet

K is on the neighborhood swim team. Last Thursday she had a practice meet and she really enjoyed it. She did the backstroke and freestyle. She was nervous but did great.

She took some breaks on the freestyle event! The hardest part was keeping JW out of the water. Should be an interesting season!

K's Pre-K end of the Year Party

The kids had a blast at their party. They played limbo, water balloon toss(that turned into a water balloon fight), and popsicles. These two peas in a pod had a great time. K is going to miss Mia so much next year!

The whole gang together one last time.

K was so sad to say goodbye to this sweet class and her two amazing teachers. We love you Ms. Valerie and Ms. Karen- thanks for a great year!

K's Last Day of Preschool

K was so excited to get the picture taken so we could head to school! I tried to take another picture of all 3 but R was not into it.

So we gave up and just let him explore. Even though you really can't see his face I still think it turned out cute!

JW's Last Day of 2 yr Pre-K

We forgot to take the standard "Last Day of School" photo that morning so we did it after we got back. I also have no pictures of JW's party b/c I grabbed the camera and did not realize the battery was missing! Lovely. The kids had a blast and enjoyed the great food and bucket full of goodies! I tried to take a picture of all 3- they did ok.

But after this close call I decided to call it quits. Don't worry K's grip is good, but I did not want to test it. The reason why their heads are missing is b/c I was already getting ready to dive for R!

Pre-K Graduation

It is so hard to believe that our little girl is through with preschool. She was very excited and ready for the big day. One of the other girls( that also enjoys singing in front of a crowd) that was in K's class was unable to make it to the ceremony so K was moved closer to the front. She sang her little heart out! Here is JW with one of his best buds from his class. They had a blast horsing around before their sisters' performance.

Can you tell how excited she was- and her sweet little friend Olivia not so much.

R and Tutu watching the show.

Two of the best 4 year old pre-school teachers in the world! Thanks Ms. Valerie and Ms. Karen- K enjoyed every minute in your class.

R's Party Part III

Sorry for all the post but when I get on a roll I hate to stop. And sorry for multiple post on the same event, but you only turn 1 once right?!?! R looks a little worried that a) a bear is riding shot gun and b) K is pushing him!

I realized as I put this post together that both sets of grandparents did not get pictures with the guest of honor. Or with any of the guest- Ms. Terry, the Hamilton's, no one. After the birthday boy went to bed the guest left too. Here we tried to get a picture of our overtired and sugar stuffed kids- this is for all my friends that think my kids take such great pictures!!!!

Nothing says you had a great party like a tired p.d. and

the birthday boy loving on his new friend!

R's party Part II

The handsome birthday boy ready for dinner.

R was a little unsure about the cupcake but K was excited enough for the both of them.

Hey Mom watch me throw the cupcake on the floor!

R's Party Part I

Since I still am limited to 4 pictures this is the pre party pictures. Below you can see our NEW PATIO!!! We are really happy with how it turned out can't wait to finish the rest of the yard!

We had a real low key party and it turned out perfect. We grilled out and just enjoyed the great weather and good company!

K's Dance Recital

May has been a crazy month with wedding parties, birthdays, and all the end of the year programs and parties. On Thursday night we began our marathon weekend with a dance recital. K took ballet and tap at her school this year and loved every second of it. She only took half the year and caught on pretty quick. As you can tell by the picture she was bursting with joy about performing! The set up was perfect- each class had their own private 30 minute recital, where they were the only performers.

Such a sweet bunch of girls and a very gifted teacher that K adored. Some people are called to work with children and Ms. Brooke is definitely one of those people.

JW's Summer B-day Party

Since JW's birthday is during the summer they had a special day to recognize all his classmates that had summer birthdays. Can you tell he decorated his own crown! I am guessing they had just come in from the playground b/c he was so sweaty. He downed the juice box in seconds!

Happy early birthday my little bud!

Mother's Day and a One Year Old

Mother's Day started off with breakfast in bed, which I will not be posting pictures of since I am looking ROUGH in all of them! We then headed to Unca B's for lunch. In honor of JW's boot Unca B wore his from a couple of years ago. We also celebrated Unca B's and Miss Melissa's birthday too. We had a wonderful lunch and then headed home.

Well, not sure if I have mentioned how fast our little scooter has become- but he has! He only does the snow plows (crawling w/ his forehead on the ground) every once in a while now.

And on May 11th this sweet boy turned 1! At times it seems it was just yesterday and others forever ago. He has come so far and we are so proud of him.

He opened a few presents that came in the mail on his birthday. As you can see, he had lots of help!
