Happy Halloween

Yeah, I am all caught up!! At least until tomorrow when we go to the farm. Today we had a messy Halloween but a fun one. Brian ran a half marathon this morning so the four of us just took it easy and enjoyed a slow morning. K's soccer game was cancelled and the birthday party we were to attend was moved to tomorrow. So we had no where we had to be till this evening. Around 4 we got the kids dressed and headed to the clubhouse for the dinner and Halloween party. We then came home tried dinner again and headed back out to trick or treat. Here K is posing with the infamous class bear, Beary Nice.

Cereal Time

It is hard to believe that this little guy is already eating solids, or should I say learning to eat solids. Not sure if it is just b/c we now have 3 or b/c the first few months were so hard and packed with appointments to see specialists, but man is time flying by.

He is still not to sure about the cereal but none of mine have been crazy about it the first couple of times. I love the last picture. He seems to thinking is this what I have been waiting for?

K's Class Halloween Party

The week of Halloween K's class was studying the letter H. And in honor of the letter H and Halloween they had Bad Hair Day at school. K went with curlers and Olivia went with lots of curly bows. She also had a Fall carnival the day before, but I left the camera at home. K enjoying her pumpkin sandwich at the party.
Russell loves his big sister and was a trooper through both class parties.
K's teachers were so nice to invite all the younger siblings to the party. You can tell that Lauren, JW, and Ellery felt right at home during story time!

JW Halloween Party

Thursday was JW's first class party! He was not very interested in the grapes and cheese but enjoyed the icing from the sugar cookie!
JW's little friend Lauren tried to help him several times clean his face, but as you can see she missed several spots!

Trunk or Treat

Our church had a trunk or treat on Wednesday night. The kids had a blast trick or treating with their best buds the Hamilton's. K decided this year to go as a fairy princess. Notice Beary Nice also accompanied us and was sporting a fine homemade pumpkin costume. Russell was very cute and happy as a bear.
The gangs all here-a flower, a flapper, a fairy princess, and a pirate!

Halloween Cookies

A while back K and I bought some Halloween cookie cutters and sprinkles to make sugar cookies with. This being the last week of October I figured we better hurry up and use them! I let K take a short rest that day so she could help me make the batter for the cookies. Then after JW woke up we cut and decorated the cookies. And yes Unca B, the cookies were awesome!

Russell enjoyed just watching all the decorating and baking.

Guest and Artwork

The same weekend of K's game we had guest form out of town- Ms. Mallory and Mr. Joel. While I was getting things put away the day our guest were to arrive JW decided he would help me by doing a little decorating. I was in JW's room when K came flying around the corner yelling JW just colored on the wall. She was right not once, not twice, but three times in three different locations. Here he is helping Daddy clean up his masterpiece. The funny thing is I have seen pictures of Brian around this age scrubbing his bedroom wall b/c he had decided to do the same thing!

Soccer Game Part 2

Russell enjoyed the game and was very content to just hang out. Half way through the game K would just follow S around the field.

K's biggest fan her brother hanging out on the sidelines.
Finally, near the end of the game K kicked the BALL!!! She has already informed us that she does not want to sign up for soccer again uless JW can play with her. Maybe one of these games she will actually enjoy it?!

Game #2

We finally had another soccer game last weekend and improvement was made, and since I still do not know how to add more than 4 pictures to a post I will have several post on this game. The reason being that the pictures help tell the story(if you click on the photos they are bigger and give a little more detail- maybe next time the right lens will be taken) better than I can. In the first picture you see K on the field with her back to us crying. Then we got her friend S to give her a little pep talk and things got a little better.
Here K is running in the game hand in hand with her pal S. Not thrilled to be out there, but not crying either.
S enjoying the game with out her shadow.
