Boarding

R on his first board trip with Daddy.

Patiently waiting their turn to go boarding. Not sure why the girls are wearing goggles though!

JW boarding and still not feeling good, poor guy.

K did really well on the board this year. She stood up, crossed the wake, and even turned around backwards. We may have a skier sooner than we thought!

Crystal Lake II

This is what JW did most of the week. After two days I took him and found out the poor guy had a double ear infection! I think JW slept more that week than he did the whole month of June.

R on his first boat ride- at least his first where he could stand up!

JW in the lake. Sorry for my shadow but the picture really shows you how clear the water really is.

Crystal Lake 2010

After being in the car for two days, they get clever with how they can share toys with one another! If you look closely you can see K passing a toy to JW using her toes!

We did have a nice lunch at the Criner's lake house on day 2 of our trip. It gave the kids a chance to stretch their legs and burn some energy off. Here is the gang the afternoon we got to Crystal Lake.

O look the newlyweds! Mark survived his first trip to the lake.

And a family pic before Jill and Mark headed back east.

Dinosaur World

To break up our 2 day road trip to the lake we decided to stop at Dinosaur World in Kentucky. The kids had a good time but Brian and I have no need to return. It was so hot and I was wearing R. As I went through the pictures I had to laugh at how many pictures Brian took of the cement dinos!

Camp Meeting Buddies

I cannot say enough about this kid. Owen is so good with all his cousins. JW loves hanging out with Owen and Owen really is so sweet to JW. He really takes time with them and makes them feel so special.

O Rollins, we love you too. K has such a blast hanging out at the cool tent next door! Mrs. Ginger has the best treats and drinks.

And Emily was not real sure but by the end of the week she was hanging out with the crew too! Can't remember what got her so tickled but she laughed so hard for so long!

Camp Meeting Balloon Fight

The kids had a blast at the balloon fight. We used some balloons but mainly used sponges so that the kids could just keep reusing the sponges. They seemed a little confused at first but then took off with it. One of JW' s good pals at Camp Meeting is Candler- I have a feeling these two will be keeping us busy for years to come!

JW going in for a sneak attack!

Again, not sure why these are out of order. This was taken right before the balloon fight. Emily looks great- not sure what my little turkeys were doing! R was at home with Tutu taking a nap.

R and Camp Meeting

R had a great time at Camp Meeting but it will be even more fun next year when he can walk in the sawdust. Here he is telling K to leave him alone!

Love this picture of him at the door on the front porch- so sweet.

Next year there will be no stopping him!

And last but not least, what is a family reunion in the South without fried chicken!

Camp Meeting

Every year keeps getting easier and easier with at Camp Meeting. They LOVE it and I love that they love it! Here all the cousins minus Brody and Emily. Our tent is growing quickly and K is thrilled with all the girl additions.

Not sure how the kids scored sitting on the front porch so young. We were at least in high school before we were allowed!

JW waking up Saturday after sleeping on the bunks in the tent.

Last Swim Meet

I know I should just give up and start posting about what is going on now, but I promised myself that I would not skip the summer stuff. So bear with me as I try to catch up. Things are so crazy here with the move and I know if I don't do this now I may never catch up. And for those of you that are wondering why I skipped over Unca B's and Auntie M's wedding it will be covered soon.

Early July marked the end of our first year on swim team. K loved every minute of it and has become a very confident swimmer! All the kids "decorate" their bodies at the meet. K was happy with the simple flower and fish. They also ask that you write their name so that when they are waiting for their events the adults know they have the right kids.

Before each meet the kids get in the water and do a little cheer. K's is being held by her friend Sara so she would not get lost in the shuffle. K was a little late for the cheer and is the only one that still has her hand in the air.

Since it was her last meet we stopped for some ice cream to celebrate.

Not sure why this pic is out of order, but this is K waiting for her event in the next heat. She was thinking about something awfully hard!
