Halloween Weekend

We were very busy the week of Halloween and kids enjoyed a lot of fun activities. Here is JW at his party at school.



Saturday we had 2 parties to attend. The first was at our good friends the Hamilton's (no pictures we forgot our camera) and K had another one at her classmate Elana's house.

By the time Halloween finally got here I was ready for Halloween to be over. Here we are heading to the neighborhood carnival and then trick or treating.

K looks like such a big girl in this last picture! Cannot believe this is our last Halloween here!

Trunk or Treat

The night of Trunk or Treat it rained so it was moved to the Fellowship Hall. The kids had a good time but it was pretty stressful trying to keep up with everyone in a crowded room.



We really did not take many pictures and completely missed JW with the camera. He was too busy finding treats then to stick around for a picture to be taken.

This was R letting me know he was over it and ready to go home. Now that he is walking more and more people are watching him. Halloween was a bit weird b/c people we did not know were taking of pictures of him. I must admit he was a really cute sheriff but it was a little creepy.

Southern Bell Farms 2010

Well, here I am covering October in December! One Saturday, we headed to McDonough to take the kids to the farm. Poppy and Tutu met us there and fun was had by all. The weather was a bit warmer than we had anticipated but the kids really did not complain of being hot. The first two pictures were taken at the pig races.



As you can tell K is not really into the races this year.

And one can't miss a ride on the cow train. I am hoping next year I can just watch and not have to ride!

We also did the hay ride, picked cotton, feed the goats, and several other activities. One of which was basically a pit pf corn kernels. The kids loved it and I found kernels in the dryer for weeks afterwards! JW keeps talking about how he can't wait to go back. He does not seem to understand that it is only opened in the fall.

Pumpkin Patch

Cannot believe I am almost caught up! Every year we head to the church to pick out our pumpkins. The kids had a blast and it was a little chilly so it did feel like fall. The kids had a blast and we left with our little family of pumpkins.

One Friday in October K and JW had a big day at their schools. K had Pajama Day and JW had Donuts with Daddy day.



JW was so excited that Daddy was going to school with him.

Poppy's Birthday

To celebrate Poppy's birthday Unca B brought back lobster from a business trip. As you can tell the kids were very interested in dinner that night.

The kids were a bit confused and kept calling the lobsters crabs. This then triggered them to do the crab walk.

Tutu and I tried several times to set JW straight that we were eating lobsters not crabs. He finally got it the next day.

JW's first day of 3 Pre-K

When September finally rolled around JW was beyond ready to head to school. He was so excited that I could not even get him to take a good picture.



With K in school everyday the boys are getting more time to play with each other. JW is starting to really understand his role as big brother and is more loving towards R.

Fun with Great Grandma in the UP

Our last full day we just spent the day exploring. We decided to head to one the parks. It was a bit of a drive and JW fell asleep. You can tell by his spaced out expression!

That night we headed out for pizza. Somehow Karen and I scored the table with all the kids- still trying to figure out how that happened. I might add that it took a really long time for the pizza to come and we all were hungry. Of course the only table that really seemed to be affected was our table.

Great Grandma checking out the picture book we all gave her for her birthday. Thanks Aunt Jill for getting that all together. After dinner we turned in early since we had to wake the kids up 4:30 to catch our early morning flight.

Dinner Continued

So Jill asked if I could take a picture of them with the sunset. It turned out great so I quickly got my group together and well...


we completely missed out on the beautiful sunset!!!

There was a dance floor next to the room we were in and all the little cousins had a blast running off some energy.

Great Grandma turns 90!

Labor Day weekend we all flew to Hancock, MI to celebrate Brian's Grandma's 90th birthday. We all were a bit nervous about this trip for many reasons 1-we all landed at around midnight, 2- both families of 5 (seperately) would be staying in a one bedroom hotel room, and 3- and being on a puddle jumper with 6 kids very, very late in the night.

But we made it and the kids did great. The next morning we all headed to Great Grandma's to hangout and spend time together.



Mid morning the guys and older kids headed to the Quincy Mine.

After church we all headed to dinner to celebrate Great Grandma's birthday. Here she is with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pirate JW's Party

We celebrated JW's birthday with friends in the middle of August. We did not even know if the party was going to happen since 3 days prior we were told he had a blood disorder called ITP. Though it is a condition that he can eventually be cured from it was scary. He had a great time and really enjoyed having all his friends over to play!

The party was so laid back and relaxing. I had time to actually sit down eat and enjoy my friends!
