Krispy Kreme

Does that sign not make your mouth water! While we were in Jax we took the kids in their pj's and headed out to Krispy Kreme! The kids enjoyed watching the donuts in the big oven and then come down the belt to be glazed.

But they enjoyed eating the most! Since it was after Thanksgiving they had their holiday selection available. It was fun to take the kids to this Krispy Kreme b/c in high school Daddy, Aunt Jill, and Mommy would go by there on the way to school and have a quick breakfast.

Thanksgiving Part 2

After the big lunch, K helped Grandma decorate the cookies. We normally make them from scratch, but fear not the cookies were eaten in record time. JW enjoyed playing with some of Daddy's old toys.

And no trip to Grandma and Grandpa Pete is complete unless you spend several hours running the trains!

Thanksgiving

We started our trek to Jacksonville for Thanksgiving on Tuesday night. Tutu and Poppy let us spend the night so that we would be a little closer to our destination. Once we arrived in Jax K helped Grandma with some turkey day preparations. Here the kids are "painting" the bird Thanksgiving morning.

Remember how I mentioned we brought the Thanksgiving feast attire- here Pocahontas is joining us for Thanksgiving lunch!

We usually celebrate Daddy's b-day again with his family. Here Pocahontas and Mr. Mark are bringing the cake. His favorite cake/pie is pumpkin, which works well since it is Thanksgiving.

End of Soccer

Well, soccer season is over and K really did enjoy playing. She was very excited to get her medal at the end of the season. Here she is with her side kick S.

Enjoying Fall

We have had some beautiful fall days this year. It is so nice when we can get outside and run of some steam and just enjoy being outside. It is hard to believe this little guy will be running around with them soon.

Thanksgiving Feasts

JW had his feast the Thursday before Thanksgiving and what fun they had! He wore is headdress till nap time that day.
Here is JW's sidekick Lauren waiting o so patiently to dig into her feast!

K's feast was the Monday before Thanksgiving. You cannot tell but she has a paper baby in a papoose on her back. She took the whole attire with us for Thanksgiving so everyone could see it, and yes this included the baby and its papoose.

Random November Pictures

Trying to cover some of the random but fun things of November. I have no pictures of the this story(thank goodness), but an outing I don't want to forget b/c it is very typical of our life! Fridays are my favorite day b/c we normally don't have to be anywhere. On this particular Friday morning I decided we would run out and have Millie's nails trimmed and pick up some clothes from the cleaners. It was a cold, dreary morning but not raining just over casted. As we pull out of the driveway I notice we need gas and it starts to sprinkle. This should have clued me in that maybe we should just stay home- but no we leave with no rain gear with us except a very small umbrella. As I start to pump the gas the sprinkles have now turned into a steady rain shower, and again I think no big deal the rain will let up. Not only does the rain not let up, it starts to rain harder and yes the temperature is dropping at record speed. When we get to the pet store I realize that now I have to get 3 kids in the store while holding a dog, pushing a stroller and managing an umbrella. But being one that never backs down from a challenge(stupid) we make it into the pet store while successfully hitting all the big puddles and yes J W is wearing crocs! As we enter the store the kids are so excited and Millie is a nervous wreck-this is why I needed to carry her into the store. The trimming itself went well and then we were off to look at the other animals. While K and JW are enjoying all the fish Millie leaves a very large and not nice present in the center of the aisle, so then I got to clean up her nice gift(I had to find the supplies while making sure no one else messed with Millie's present)! These kind of days you just have to laugh!

K loves to wear my high heels. This time JW followed her into my closet and came out with some more appropriate shoes for a boy- Pound Puppy slippers. Yes, Unca B the slippers are still a hit!

Your Daddy might be a hockey fan if he teaches you how to take the men from his hockey game(b/c your too young to play the real game alone) and then take your aqua doodle and make an ice rink for them to play on. K then took their other aqua doodle and used that for the parking lot! As you can see the fans are people from her doll house and polly pocket dolls!

K's favorite thing to do is to get R to smile at her. He is so lucky to have her as a big sis.

November Visitors

Long time no post, but fear not I am bound and determined to catch up and actually post some about December too! The month of November is a month filled with birthdays. Grandma Pete, Brian, Tutu, and Uncle Chris all have birthdays. Grandma and Grandpa Pete came up for a weekend visit. After a long day of traveling Grandpa Pete was then asked to play trains on the floor- what a trooper! The next picture is K watching her Daddy blow the leaves into piles to bag. Look closely and you can see the headphones she is wearing to block out the sound of the blower!

Grandpa Pete also helped out with the leaves. He looks mighty happy to be raking leaves!

And here is Grandma having her birthday cupcake with K and JW.

Isabella's Party

The Sunday after Halloween we went to a friend's birthday party at Southern Bell Farm. We usually go with my parents each fall, but with all the rain and soccer we had not made our annually trip till Isabella's party. Brian and I took K and JW and Poppy and Tutu came later with Russell after his afternoon snooze. Not sure what JW is doing in the next picture, but this was part of the crew at the start of the corn maze.

Another favorite is the big slide. We had a little trouble getting these turkeys to move on to something else!

By the end, the sugar had worn off and we had a real tired bunch(kids and parents included). It was a great day and the kids had a blast. The kids finally gave it up and slept most of the way home.

I wanted to just have a picture of the past 5 Halloweens, but I can't seem to be able to but different pictures from different folders in the same post. So you will have to just enjoy the extra posts.
